Hooping + Aerial Arts for Beginners

Come for some fun, safe, beginner-friendly aerial and hooping arts under the trees at our local ropes park. After some warmups and stretches, participants will split up between Dorothy, Jo, and Crystal on the hulahoops, slack line, and aerial silks in this favorite Morganton outdoor adventure land. Heart Above Head: Building Trust for Inversions

How can we find the support to take risks?

Join guest teacher Katy Hawkins in this special invitation to explore the risks of openness and of placing the heart above the head.

This 2-hour workshop will consist of physical asana and simple hands-on touch as a meditation practice. We'll wake up the “trust muscles” by using the support of props to help assist with the physical and emotional demands of inversions.

Yoga for Runners: Fonta Flora Half Marathon

Saturdays, March 25-April 15, 2017, 11am - 12:30pm

Breathe Yoga & Wellness teams up with Tanawha Adventures to prepare you for the Fonta Flora Half Marathon. For four weeks, an instructor will lead runners through yoga that will provide balance, stability, and flexibility to your training program by offering postures, breath, and movement that you can incorporate.
 
Each class is 1.5 hours. Wear comfortable clothes; bring water and a towel. No yoga experience is required. Bring a mat if you have one; there are also mats available to borrow.

Qoya, Momentum: A Workshop for Women

Lyndsey Love Azlynne leads this beautiful fluid movement class. Qoya is based on the simple idea that through movement we remember...through dance, yoga and feminine movement! Ayurveda After-Hours: Wellness Session with Greta

Winter Solstice Celebration

We’ll gather at sundown to honor the longest night of the year and celebrate the coming light. Centering meditation, gentle stretching, peace, warmth, silence, and singing meditation.

Jenne Sluder, in collaboration with tenor vocalist and harmonizer extraordinaire Clark Williams, will deliver the music in soothing and soulful close-harmony with an invitation for optional audience participation. Carols and hymns from diverse world traditions and a few mellow anthems from the Beatles and Leonard Cohen capture the warm fellowship of the season. Her latest album "Hymns to the Earth", and others, can be explored HERE.

Mommy & Me Yoga

Yoga instructor and play specialist Jo Alberts leads Mommy & Me Yoga (and Daddy's!) on Wednesdays through November, at Breathe Yoga & Wellness on Wednesdays at 3:30pm through the week before Thanksgiving.

Yoga for Addiction Recovery Support

Tuesdays, Oct 25, 2016 to Jan 24, 2017, 10:00 - 11:00am

This is a 14-week series of classes, but any class can be attended alone without attending the other classes in the series. This class emphasizes physical and emotional safety, and requires no prior yoga experience. It’s not necessary that students be in a 12-Step program to participate, but it is suggested that students be on an active path of recovery.

Yoga is not meant to be a substitute for addiction treatment.
