Yoga for Diabetes Prevention

We're happy to partner with Burke County Public Library's Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) in bringing information and tools to our local family for the prevention of type 2 diabetes -- a long-standing health issue in Burke County and one that has grown to affect more than 300 million people worldwide. Our Library's DPP is aimed at people who are prediabetic with the goal of preventing progression of health factors that lead to full-blown diabetes.

Qoya: Momentum - A Workshop for Women

Qoya is based on the simple idea that through movement we remember...through dance, yoga and feminine movement! This February women are invited to circle up and explore this concept of "movement as medicine", in turn, creating a conscious trajectory into early Spring.
 
Together we will explore the concept of momentum, and what it feels like in our bodies and in our dance. What would it feel like to embrace momentum as an ally?

Solstice Fest for Breathe's 2nd Birthday

It's hard to believe that our family has been coming together for almost two years seven days a week. This month, we celebrate not only Breathe Yoga & Wellness's 2nd Birthday, but also the return of music and kirtan beauty Jenne Sluder from Asheville, NC. Jenne came during Breathe's grand opening festivities in December, 2014 and we're happy to be welcoming her back for a Winter Solstice musical and meditation celebration on Sunday, December 18.

Yoga + Wellness Hosted by Foothills Conservancy at Camp Lake James

Join Foothills Nature Conservancy for a community wellness celebration at beautiful Camp Lake James 1780 for a family-friendly outdoor yoga class led by Annaliese Koltermann, RYT500, Certified Kripalu Instructor. Following yoga there will be an optional hike on the camp’s trails as we celebrate community and wellness.
