Betty Landers, a Morganton native, moved with her family as a child to Atlanta, Georgia, where she was raised, attended school and launched her early career. After returning to her Morganton roots in 1981 and raising her three children, she embarked on a new career in healthcare.
“I witnessed miracles, especially in ICU. On the other hand I observed too many patients suffering with severe health issues as a direct result of unhealthy lifestyle choices. Discovering Tai Chi for Health immediately ignited a desire and a fire in me to become a certified instructor in order to educate and empower myself and others on this lifetime journey as we make informed choices to live healthier lives.”
Betty is accredited through the Tai Chi for Health Institute as a Certified Tai Chi for Health Instructor and is available for individual or group sessions that can be tailored to fit your needs.
Her relevant associations include Premier Membership in the International Tai Chi for Health Institute; Membership in The United States Tai Chi for Health Community; and serving as a Member of the Burke Wellness Initiative Task Force.
Betty is the mother of three adult children (two sons and a daughter) and has a background in healthcare, teaching, event planning, ministering, counseling and as a life coach.
One of Betty's favorite quotes is this, by Victoria Moran: “Growing into your future with health and grace and beauty doesn’t have to take all your time. It rather requires a dedication to caring for yourself as if you were rare and precious, which you are, and regarding all life around you as equally so, which it is.”
She invites you come ready to relax and renew as you take this intentional step on your journey to better health.
